Introducing Orlando Baxter all the way from Boston especially for us.
American stand up Orlando Baxter exploded onto the Boston comedy scene in 2005, and was quickly established as one of the areas hottest young comics.
His fresh perspective and unique relatability quickly solidified this former high school teacher into a fan favourite and led to a string of finalist positions in a host of contests and festivals including The New York Comedy Festival, NBC’s ‘Stand Up for Diversity Showcase’ and the Boston Comedy Festival. In 2012 he toured across the U.S. with national headliner Jo Koy, as the opening act in the "Lights Out" tour, before making TV appearances on AXS TV’s ‘Gotham Live’. In 2014, Orlando’s talent took him overseas and became a finalist at the prestigious Montreux Comedy festival in Switzerland. In 2016 he made a triumphant return to the UK for his first full season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it received rave reviews. In 2017 Orlando made his Australian debut at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival as part of the ‘Headliners’ show, and recorded an episode of Comedy Up Late for ABC2. He also toured Switzerland and appeared on The Arts Hour’s International Stand Up Comedy New Year Special on the BBC World Service, recorded at the legendary BBC Radio Theatre in London, and can be seen on BET’s 50 Central, and Laff Mobbs Laff Track on Tru TV.
2 times nominated for the whats on awards, comedian category. and Leicester comedy festival ultimate comedy championships winner 2018.
A firm Romsey favourite and local too!! Elle has performed all over the place, but pleased to say she has performed at a number of House of Comedy events since its conception. Even taking control of proceedings at The Byline Festival last year on the main stage where she broke the record for how many ciders could be necked whilst still commanding the crowds attention!! Elle was received incredibly well, by a brilliant crowd.
Tickets NOW ON SALE!
