11 Mile Sponsored Walk in support of THE HORSE RAFT (CIC)
This fantastic circular 11 mile, approx. 6 hours (including stops) walk will take you from the heart of Burley into the beautiful New Forest across varying landscapes. Part of the walk will include a talk on the history of the New Forest, sightings of local fauna and flora, bird awareness and a session of mindfulness to instill a connection with your surroundings. Although you will be walking with an experienced walker, the route will be fully signed and a map will also be provided. Your en-route stop points will be located at local tea rooms where you will be offered a warm drink and tasty treat to keep energy levels up! You will cross the finish line at the famous Cider Pantry in Burley and be presented with a congratulatory drink and Rosette.

WHY TAKE PART
The Horse Raft is a Community Interest Company (CIC) which supports wellbeing for adults with horses and nature. Such connections nurture both body and mind and can help people who are struggling with life’s hurdles such as physical or mental illness. Nature heals, soothes and restores.
The Horse Raft currently has two horses, Ears & Eyes who are benefiting from the Raft sanctuary. From your sponsorship they will continue their ongoing therapeutic work with people in need of care and to help improve and offer personal wellbeing through nature.
Sponsorship target: £100 per person. Date for sponsorship to be achieved: Friday 6th April 2018
Fundraising via online fundraising page, BACS, cheque or cash donation goes directly to the charity.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
18 Years+ Under18's will be able to take part if walking with a responsible adult.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
You will be able to leave your car at Burley Car Park for the duration of the event.
What can I bring into the event?
Please bring suitable clothing and footwear. We advise waterproofs and wellies/walking boots.

What's the refund policy?
Registration fee will be refundable as follows:
Cancellation up to 30 days prior: full registration fee (£35)
Cancellation from 29 days - 15 days prior: 75% of registration fee (£8.75)
Cancellation from 14 days - 8 days prior: 50% of registration fee (£17.50)
Cancellation from 7 days prior: no refund
Any funds raised for The Horse Raft cannot be reclaimed as a result of cancellation from the event, and will be received as a charitable donation.
