Scarlet Lady

The first Lady Ship of our Virgin Voyages fleet is almost here, and she’s shaping up to be quite a beauty. If the leading lady image on the livery seems recognizable, it might be because she’s made appearances on Virgin entities before. Designed by artist Toby Tinsley, her likeness appears on Virgin Atlantic∘ and Australia aircrafts as well as the Virgin Galactic spaceline.

Now, she’s emerging again, but this time she reappears as a mystical Mermaid - the soul and spirit behind the first Virgin Voyages∘  ship. Her name, and therefore the name of our first vessel, was carefully deliberated and finally chosen to be…

Scarlet Lady. There...we said it. The mermaid’s out of the bag! Scarlet is the embodiment of everything this ship represents. As our figurehead, she takes on a role historically dedicated to goddesses, important women in society, and even mermaid figures.

Though beautiful and mysterious in vision, she represents a woman of power - the leader not only on our first voyage, but also in our efforts to encourage front-facing female leaders throughout our company with our Virgin Voyages Scarlet Squad Program.

Unique Features

The Vitamin Sea ethos focuses on well-being that delivers rejuvenation and transformation for all sailors. Our entire voyage∘ employs elements of both detox and retox, depending on how a sailor might want to curate their time. We embrace self-care while feeding our mischievous curiosities at the same time, recognizing that a complete experience makes room for both.

We've already taken care of taking care of the crew. So, don't worry, the tips are on us.

Modern, yacht-inspired aesthetics and clever cabin technology make for more than just a space to live (or dance).

Transform your room at the touch of a button. Mood-matching lights, a configurable Seabed and in-cabin tech come together∘ to make your life easier. Save the friction for the dance floor.

Wanna get cozy?

Choose a movie on your tablet, cast it to the TV and get high on that canceled plans feeling.

Need some zzz's?

There's a mood for that.

Down to host?

Transform your Seabed, order in mozzarella sticks, or adjust the lighting for an improvised dance-off.

Can you say exclusive access throughout the ship, personal RockStar style riders, upgraded marble clad bathrooms with premium amenities and spaces conceptualized by world renowned designer, Tom Dixon?

Then let’s talk suites.

Designed with a Sailor’s many moods in mind, our cabins are revolutionizing ship design to create a personal retreat complete with modern aesthetics, yacht-like sensibilities∘ and functional living space. The ultimate go-to for relaxation and rejuvenation, our cabins stand out for the flexible furnishings, upgraded bathrooms with Roomy Rainshowers and sensory mood lighting, creating comfy quarters that are way more than just a place to crash.

If you only had a handful of places you could choose to eat for the rest of your life, what would they be?

An exciting proposition, but not as easy as it sounds. This is the very task we gave the culinary masterminds responsible for the selection of eats and drinks on board our Scarlet Lady. Imagine you're building∘ a city, an epic city, in the middle of the ocean (miles from civilization). Look around the world, find what's hot, ignore what's not, think about what’s next, bring it all together, and only pick the very best.

You will never be bored, we promise. Virgin Voyages events and gigs will vary with an array of performers and performance types as well as music programming and activities.

Music is fundamentally part of Virgin's DNA. Since our early days in the '70s, we've been spotting and nurturing the best talent (Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols, Spice Girls – yes, fine, we are flexing); turning up-and-coming DJs into fully-fledged superstars. We're bringing that ethos, that belief in the weird∘ and the daring, to our on board acts. You know that incredible Ethiopian-by-way-of-Brooklyn r&b singer you saw in a basement show years ago, who's now blowing up? We're that basement show.

Health and fitness

For the 'do nothings', 'do some things' and the 'do literally everythings' (you know who you are), we have a way to sweat that suits you. From sun-rise yoga to outdoor boxing, meditation to HIIT workouts, and even specifically curated hikes at our ports, our approach to working out is that it works for you. If you just want to sweat out last night's questionable alcohol combinations, take a run around our outdoor jogging track. We definitely won't judge.

Whether your idea of relaxation is a sun salutation or a hot stone massage, you're about to get it OMMM (lol we know). A cross between a week spent in Bali and 2 hours at a cafe in Amsterdam, Redemption spa is a haven of tranquility and self-preservation. Get dirty in the mudroom, let the sauna cleanse you, or spend an entire afternoon floating from hot stone massage to seaweed wrap until you've aged backwards.

Kids and Teens

You must be at least 18 to sail with Virgin Voyages.

Let’s face it, even parents could use a holiday from their little ones sometimes.

To relax, order a glass of wine and dedicate all of their attention to the voyage at hand.

That’s why we’ve taken great care to design a place where you, your friends or your significant other can have the best possible experience, sans the unpredictability of kids.

Because of that you must be at least 18 to sail with us. No kidding. See what we did there?

So whether you want to unplug and disconnect or network with like minded travelers, it’s all there.

Just show up with your dreams, curiosity, and love of all things stress-free.

Let us do the rest.
