Dining-wise, there are eight eateries for you to choose from, including the main restaurant, 47°, which is spread across two stories, and three speciality eateries which serve everything from Mediterranean to Asian cuisine. Two of the latter are on the top deck, so the sea views are some of the best on the ship. There are plenty of between-meal options, too, including the Snack Shack, which serves things like burgers, hotdogs and fries throughout the day. If it’s cakes and pastries you’re yearning for, 47° also hosts The Great Musical Afternoon Tea every week – all of the food here’s themed after a famous musical.
Whether you like a tipple before your tea, a post-dinner drink, or a night-cap cocktail, there are six bars for you to kick back in. Plus, there’s the Broadway Show Lounge, where you can sit down and take in a variety of West-End-worthy music and dance shows. If you’d prefer to spend your evenings playing blackjack and roulette, the Live Casino is just the ticket. Head to the pool deck, meanwhile, and you can catch our al fresco Movies by Moonlight screenings.
There’s no shortage of R&R onboard the Marella Discovery fleet. You can spread out on the pool deck, which is fitted with a Swimming Pool and a number of Whirlpools. Or, head to Oceans Spa, where you can treat yourself to a muscle-melting massage and spend some time in one of the saunas. It flaunts the Oceans Gym, too, complete with all the equipment you need for a full-body workout. Elsewhere, you can work up a sweat on the Jogging Track.
Little sailors are well catered for onboard the Marella Discovery fleet. When it comes to cabins, you can choose from family-sized options to inter-connecting cabins. It’s the same story when it comes to the food offering, our buffets feature fussy-eater-friendly picks like pizzas and spaghetti bolognese. The activity set-up, meanwhile, includes the likes of table tennis and football tournaments, quizzes and early evening shows during sea days. Elsewhere, toddlers and babies have their own toys, games and activities to get involved with at the M Club and the Baby Centre. Our range of shore excursions are also suited for families travelling with youngsters and teens – expect things like organised visits to waterparks and beaches, as well as once-in-a-lifetime experiences like swimming with stingrays. Kids aged 10 and over can also take part in our cycling tours, where you’ll follow an experienced guide on a route that ticks off some of the area’s must-see sights. We operate these tours out of most of the ports we visit.
Enrichment activities to be confirmed.
