Why an Electric Bike?

Let's face it, not all of us are competitive athletes looking to score a record time or climb the steepest hill. Most of us just want to get from A to B without fuss, gaining the maximum enjoyment out of our bicycle investment.

That's exactly what a modern E-Bike can do.

VR Experiences in the New Forest

New Forest Activities
From: 26 Sep '19 09:00am -
To: 28 Feb '20 05:00pm
Room-scale Virtual Reality experiences are active and involving. We’re one of the first activity companies to introduce these concepts to our team-building events and group parties. We have single system and multi system options available for hire. A range of VR experiences are on offer. Walk the plank, take aim, defuse bombs or explore the Earth. With a number of single and multiplayer games, everyone can get involved. The technology is simply breathtaking! Combined with our innovative way of utilising the latest devices, we’ve created for you a group experience you’ll be talking about for a long time to come. Contact us to discuss how we can make an impact at your event or party. Kids Virtual Reality Parties:
Why not try something different for your child’s next birthday party with an immersive virtual reality experience? They’ll be blown away by the technology with age appropriate games so realistic, they’ll really feel like they’re battling in space, defending their castle or mixing spellbinding potions! And with a seamless booking process, the planning of our kids virtual reality parties couldn’t be easier.
Adult Virtual Reality Parties:
We’re one of the first companies in the New Forest to introduce virtual reality to its party options. We offer high end room scale virtual reality technology to give you an experience that is quite literally out of this world. When hiring our VR equipment for your party, we’ll make sure that your experience with us is as seamless as the technology that we use. Plus, we’ll include a guide to setup to make setting up the equipment as simple as possible. Soar through the skies or dive into the deepest oceans. Fight zombies, space aliens and defend your castle against invaders. With so many games to choose from, your guests will be blown away!
What's Included:
The minimum space required per VR unit is 3×3 metres
For two VR units you would need a 6×3 metre space (two 3×3 metre spaces)
We suggest hiring a large space like a village hall for this, however you can play at home if you have room
We recommend a maximum number of 10 participants
A wide range of age appropriate games are available. It will be your responsibility to ensure games are played age appropriately
When hiring you will need to collect the unit(s) from our office in Beaulieu
A full guide for easy setup will be included
Optional extra: Your own dedicated instructor to help on the day. Additional £50 fee (+50p per mile).
Not sure? Come and have a demo at our office included with your VR hire will be a detailed guide on the equipment and setup to make setting up the equipment as simple as possible.

1984

The New Forest National Park
From: 15 Jan '20 02:30pm -
To: 18 Jan '20 07:30pm

Winston Smith works for the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, taking part in the Two Minutes Hate and generally keeping under the radar. In a world where Big Brother is always watching, always listening, a book, a pen, a note, and a room change his world. Will he rebel, or will he learn to love Big Brother?

George Orwell’s book is deftly adapted by Matthew Dunster and given the Forest Forge Youth Theatre treatment in this production. Sometimes it feels prophetic, always it feels claustrophobic and eye-opening, the parallels to today’s society where many houses have an Alexa sitting in the corner of their kitchen and social media mines our data to see what to sell us, are striking.

With a large ensemble Forest Forge Youth Theatre looks at this classic through security camera eyes and aims to create a high octane, tense and visual performance.

War is peace.

Freedom is slavery.

Ignorance is strength.

Fruit Pruning with Chris Bird

The New Forest National Park
From: 01 Feb '20 10:00am -
To: 01 Feb '20 03:30pm

Senior lecturer at Sparsholt College, Chris Bird, coordinates the college's RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden, winning nine gold medals. He has also published The Fundamentals of Horticulture for the RHS.

Fruit trees that are not pruned become congested and unproductive. During the day you will learn how to improve the health and productivity of trees by appropriate pruning. The course will provide participants with practical skills through hands on experience of the renovation and ongoing pruning of trees and will cover all types of tree from recently planted to mature and trained examples. Although concentrating on apple trees Chris knows everything there is to know about fruit and there will be the chance to look at currants and berries as well.

The course is limited to 12 places to ensure that all participants have ample opportunity for practical work. No prior knowledge is required. Please feel free to bring your own tools (for example secateurs/pruning saw) although some tools will be available at the centre.

Tea and coffee provided and homemade soup for lunch.

Ever fancied becoming a Victorian house servant or training as a country garage apprentice mechanic? Now’s your chance!

Join us from February 15th – 23rd to get hands-on with a range of fun activities, including the chance to discover curious 19th century gadgets and motoring artefacts...

Try out as a footman or scullery maid and tackle some of the household chores that were part of daily life for the hard-working servants. If that sounds like hard work, test your brain in a different way with curious gadgets from the 19th century, putting your deductive skills to the test to work out what these strange contraptions were used for.

For more dress-up, rummage through the collection of driving costumes and pull on coats, hats and goggles before clambering behind the wheel of the veteran 1904 Pope-Tribune for the perfect selfie opportunity.

Lily and the Albatross

The New Forest National Park
From: 23 Feb '20 03:30pm -
To: 23 Feb '20 05:00pm

Far out in the wild and remote ocean is a small family on an old fishing boat who pass the time with exciting stories and merry music.

The whims of the water control their daily routine but Lily finds herself gazing upwards, where birds swim weightlessly above her head before stealing the precious fish from the fishing nets.

With the threat of the nightly storm and its whipping winds, the family must pull together, take a leap of faith and look beyond what they have always known to get themselves and their old boat moving again.

Discover the legend of Great Captain Markham, join the family as they battle the elements and meet a gliding albatross, who flies in the face of the storm and gives Lily the nudge she needs to truly stretch her wings.

Lily & the Albatross is a story about a small family of three, the legend of Great Captain Markham and how they learn to fly in the face of a storm.

A tale of wild weather, wild birds and wild ambitions for ages 5+

Come along to this advanced traditional bread making master class with Paul Merry from The Panary.
