AmaMagna

As imagined by AmaWaterways co-owner and president, Rudi Schreiner, the “godfather of river cruising,” the AmaMagna is nearly twice the width of traditional European river ships and offers more choices for leisure and dining on board. Most accommodations are spacious suites measuring 355 to 710 sq. ft with full balconies and more personal space. In addition to the Main Restaurant and The Chef’s Table, AmaMagna introduces two enticing new dining venues: Jimmy’s Wine Bar Restaurant, named for AmaWaterways’ late co-owner Jimmy Murphy, and the Al Fresco Restaurant, featuring a plant-based menu with a focus on fresh seasonal ingredients, with retractable windows and outdoor seating. On the Sun Deck, active travellers will enjoy laps of the walking track or in the large heated pool, while those looking to unwind will love the soothing whirlpool with access to the pop-up sky bar. AmaMagna’s Zen Wellness Studio is an expansive space with a fitness centre offering invigorating classes led by a professional Wellness Host, as well as outdoor spin bikes, two massage rooms, a refreshing juice bar and manicure/pedicure services on the Violin Deck. With larger staterooms, five bars, four unique dining venues and more leisure opportunities than ever before, the AmaMagna has quickly become the most luxurious cruise ship on the Danube.

Unique Features

AmaWaterways originated the concept of putting bicycles aboard river cruise ships in Europe. The idea sprung from the fact that so many of Europe's rivers are lined with paths that are perfect for pedalling. They are the only river cruise line that carries more than two dozen bicycles and plenty of safety helmets that are free for you to use. The bicycles give you the freedom to venture out and explore the riverside bikeways. Or, meander through quaint cobblestone streets. The bikes are set up and ready for use as soon as the ship docks.

Gratuities

Gratuities to your Cruise Manager and ship crew are not included in the holiday price. While the amount of these gratuities will depend upon your degree of satisfaction for services received. Gratuities on most vessels, but not all, may be charged on credit card as well as cash.
