For all guests an amount of £7 per person per night (£6 per person per night on cruises of 16 nights or more per night) - will be automatically added to your onboard account. For children aged 12-17 years of age, where applicable on a multi-generational sailing, an amount of £4 per person per night will be automatically added to your onboard account.
Ambition & Ambience will be priced in Pound Sterling. Renaissance will be priced at an equivalent rate in Euros.
All service charges and gratuities are collated so a portion goes to each crew member who helps to make your cruise special. This includes our hard-working front of house team. But, also, the team who work behind the scenes on board to help deliver the Ambassador experience.
If you notice an issue that makes you think twice about our service charge, be sure to speak with one of our Guest Services Team who will try to resolve the matter before a charge adjustment becomes necessary. Even if you had a negative experience with a particular employee, seriously consider whether it warrants removing your gratuities altogether, keeping in mind that because of one crew member the whole team is affected. Of course, if you want to also reward a crew member personally in addition for excellent service, feel free to do so!
If you purchase one of our Ambassador Drinks Packages, gratuities are also included. However, please note that the gratuity contribution cannot be removed from any of the packages.
Your home-from-home, your humble abode on board, your cabin accommodation is where we want you to feel most comfortable. This is your restful haven that you can look forward to returning to after an exciting day ashore or a busy day at sea, where you can escape and rejuvenate during your trip.
We offer a range of cabins spanning seven accommodation decks from the Aloe deck 4 up to the Ambassador deck 11. We have 20 twin and single cabin categories to suit a wide range of preferences and pockets. Our cabins are more spacious to cater to today’s climate, averaging 17-18 square meters. Our dedicated housekeeping team clean cabins once a day and provide 24-hour room service at a supplementary cost. All our cabins are air-conditioned with en-suite facilities including a shower and ample storage space with room under the beds to store suitcases. Most suites also have a bathtub.
All cabins have a range of impressive amenities and personal touches. Make yourself at home with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge, and take advantage of the hair dryer, personal safe, UK three pin electrical sockets and USB ports. There is also a flat screen TV for all your entertainment needs. So why not sit back and watch the ship position and routing from the comfort of your own cabin? Please note, TV reception is subject to weather conditions and the geographic location of the ship.
With the exception of Aloe deck 4, which has 14 cabins with one lower and one upper berth, all cabins are of twin lower bed configuration (some with fold-away upper pullman berths or sofa beds) and in most cases can be converted to double beds.
Navigating your way to and from your cabin is easy, with three spacious main foyer areas on all decks (except Aloe deck 4) serviced by 9 lifts and stairways. Aloe deck 4 has two foyers serviced by 6 lifts.
There are 13 cabins adapted for guests with disability and mobility needs and 40 cabins with interconnecting doors.
Ocean View Cabin: Describes a cabin that has natural light from a window. Inside Cabin: Describes a cabin that has artificial light only. If you’re after a little taste of luxury on your journey with us, we have a range of cabin suites that provide the space and amenities to make your cruise that extra bit special. Both our De-Luxe Suites and Suites are located on Ambassador deck 11 and come with their own private balcony and sitting area.
So, what makes the suite life so special? All our suites include priority embarkation and luggage delivery for a seamless and hassle-free arrival. We’ll say welcome and whet your whistle with a complimentary bottle of house wine and mineral water, alongside your chargeable mini bar. For lazy mornings at sea there is a breakfast in bed tray and a cosy bathrobe and pair of slippers to relax in. You’ll have fresh fruit and daily canapes on hand. Our dedicated housekeeping team clean cabins once a day with an evening turn down service. We’ve also got you covered whatever the weather with your own umbrella to use on shore as well as a pair of binoculars to help you see as far as your heart desires and a world atlas. Our suite guests are also entitled to a laundry service discount and a late check-out.

You can count on our onboard photography team to capture all your special Ambassador moments during your sailing! From photo opportunities before you step on board through to when you’re enjoying yourself at sea and ashore, our experienced photographers and videographers will be there to snap all the times you’ll want to treasure, so you don’t have to miss a thing. Our team will also be on hand to take casual photos or elegant evening portraits in Ambience’s dedicated Photo Studio.
We will then turn these memories into a variety of keepsakes so you can share the highlights of your sailing with family and friends. Visiting new destinations around the world is always an exciting prospect, so at each port, we aim to offer a variety of experiences to appeal to all tastes and budgets. We strongly recommended that you use our pre-registration service to ensure your place is reserved on your top picks.
Advantages of participating in Destination Experiences with us include:- The ability to pre-register experiences online. Payments for Destination Experiences are charged to your shipboard account, payable at the end of your cruise, or at regular intervals during longer voyages.
- Competitive selling prices and the knowledge that all experiences are operated under the management of responsible and experienced local ground handling agencies, who hold the appropriate insurance cover to offer such services.
- Peace of mind that if the return of your experience to the ship is delayed for any reason, the onboard team will be kept fully informed and make necessary arrangements for you.
- If we are unable to call at a specific port for any reason, all guests registered on our experiences will receive a full refund.
- If the itinerary or call timings change during the cruise, we will endeavour to make necessary amendments with the local agents to ensure the experiences programme continues to operate with as little disruption as possible.

On cruises of six nights or more why not while away the hours learning a new skill with one of our arts & craft specialists. They will demonstrate their talents and help you to find yours. These may include bead jewellery, painting, mosaic decoration, calligraphy and decorative card art. Materials will be supplied on board by the crafter for a small charge.
Book Club
Why not join other like-minded literature lovers for our cruise book club on cruises of 6 nights or more. You will be able to discuss openly and informally your thoughts on views on some of the bestselling books. All books are chosen in advance, giving you the opportunity to purchase before boarding.
