The Winchester City Museum is Hampshire's oldest museum.
The Museum tells the story of the city of Winchester, from an important Roman City later principal city of King Alfred. Through galleries, discover Winchester from its origins as a prehistoric trading centre and Roman regional capital, to its pre-eminence as a principal city in the Anglo- Norman kingdom and then development and decline in the Middle Ages, through to modern times.
Winchester City Museum also includes hands-on activities and quizzes, audio guides and gift shop.
